Elyse grew up in the Colorado Springs area. At a young age, she knew she wanted to work in the medical field. Her dream job was to become a labor and delivery nurse. After graduating high school Elyse wanted to experience a new area, so she decided to attend the University of Wyoming for her BSN. Elyse met her husband in Wyoming and shortly after graduation they got married. They moved back to Colorado Springs area and she moved into her nursing career as a Medical/Surgical nurse at St. Francis Medical Center for one year. The experience on that floor was great; however, thankfully after hard work and persistence she became a labor and delivery nurse in 2013. Elyse loved working in labor and delivery. Being able to care for women during one of the most (if not the most) exciting and vulnerable experiences in their lives was extremely rewarding. Through her work as an L&D nurse she realized she not only wanted to care for pregnant women, but also care for women throughout their lives.
In 2016, she pursued her Masters in Nursing to become a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. Elyse graduated in 2018 and has continued to work in women’s healthcare. When she is not working she loves spending time with her husband and two kids. One of the biggest reasons she loves Colorado is the beautiful weather and getting outside to experience God’s creation. She loves hiking, camping, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
"I love that I am able to care for women in all walks of life and build relationships with our patients. It is a privilege to come along side our patients and the other providers at Exceptional Care for Women to provide optimal care."
