Dr. Wagers stayed on as faculty at the University of Illinois after graduating from residency. While she enjoyed teaching residents and medical students, she was excited about the opportunity to work in a patient focused group practice such as Exceptional Care for Women. She was also anxious to return home to Colorado. Dr. Wagers is married, has two daughters, two dogs and one cat. When she is not working or attending her daughters various events, she enjoys reading and spending time outdoors. She has loved getting to know Colorado Springs!
"I love my job! Being an OB/GYN allows me to build lasting relationships with my patients, which I treasure. It is wonderful to work with women through all stages of life from puberty to motherhood to menopause and beyond. I feel very fortunate to have a career that is not only meaningful but also very exciting. Few fields in medicine allow a physician to be in the OR, in a labor & delivery suite, in the ER and in the office all in one day, but in OB/GYN that is the case most days!"
