Dr. Wagers stayed on for a short time as faculty at the University of Illinois after graduating from residency.  She was excited to return to her home state of Colorado and joined Exceptional care for Women in 2013.  She enjoys teaching and has continued to work an Obstetrics and Gynecology preceptor for 3rd year students at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.  Dr. Wagers was honored to receive the award for “Teacher of the Year for 2017-18.”  She loves taking care of women at all stages of their lives and is enthusiastic about sharing this exciting field with doctors in training.  She is married with two teenage daughters, two dogs and one cat.  When she is not working or attending her daughters’ various events, she enjoys reading and spending time outdoors.

"I love my job! Being an OB/GYN allows me to build lasting relationships with my patients, which I treasure. It is wonderful to work with women through all stages of life from puberty to motherhood to menopause and beyond. I feel very fortunate to have a career that is not only meaningful but also very exciting. Few fields in medicine allow a physician to be in the OR, in a labor & delivery suite, in the ER and in the office all in one day, but in OB/GYN that is the case most days!"
